The final of the RNZYS Winter series was sailed on Saturday afternoon in a very healthy breeze that topped 30 knots, with big seas - for Auckland's Waitemata Harbour.
David Nathan's TP52 V5 streaked around the course, others varied from taking things easy to pushing it a little too hard at times. There's a video shot via a GoPro from aboard V5, by Ben Gladwell, to give a taste of the onboard action.
Sail-World's camera captured some of the racing from our favorite place at the bottom of North Head, shooting from 300-1000 metres distant. There was plenty of wind and spray, plus camera shake in the strong wind - our apologies for the sharpness of some of the images.
