Boating enthusiasts from all over Australia flock to Queensland for the annual Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and again Aug. 2 for the Sydney International Boat Show event.

'Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show delivers to the audience a fantastic opportunity to understand what’s new and what’s great in boating and certainly more about the boating lifestyle,' said Domenic Genua, Marketing and Events Manager for the Boating Industry Association of NSW.

Although engrossed in preparations for the Sydney International Boat Show which the Boating Industry Association owns and operates, Genua spent time taking in the Sanctuary Cove event.

'I have enjoyed the last couple of days walking around and meeting the exhibitors, seeing what is new in the market place and certainly enjoying the fact that there is a great vibrancy about the place and the audiences are coming back,' said Genua.

Even though the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney Boat Shows function under separate ownership, they share the same national market, exhibitors and national clientele but each also have their own strong local audiences. Each prestigious in their own right, the Shows promote a unifying dedication to the public.

'Being from the Sydney International Boat Show I completely appreciate that philosophy because we know from our audience they want the same,' said Genua.

Aside from boasting an impressive display of yachts, catamarans, and cruisers, Genua praised SCIBS for exceeding public expectation.

'What I am particularly happy to see is the fact that Sanctuary Cove has come up with this fantastic entertainment package because that is what our audience wants,' said Genua. 'They want to be educated and they want to be entertained.'

Yet according to Genua, Sanctuary Cove won’t be the only venue to deliver customer satisfaction. Decidedly mute on the details, he assures the Sydney International Boat Show will surprise and delight attendees.

'Our planning for entertainment and education is also going to be something new and something special because we have a whole lot of new things there,' said Genua.

'I am not going to tell you what they are. You have to come along and see them. I am sure you will absolutely love them.'

With less than ten weeks until the Sydney Show, Genua and his team are finalising a full list of exhibitors, entertainment and excitement.

'This marine industry of ours in Australia is a fantastic industry,' said Genua. 'The products and the lifestyle that we deliver to our audience is something special.'
