RC44 Sweden Cup, part of the RC44 Championship Tour, will take place in Marstrand from 18th to 22nd of July. Stena Sphere enters as new sponsor, and thereby strengthens its involvement in international sailing.
'The RC44 Sweden Cup is a great event with the ultimate conditions for a sponsorship focusing on 'business to business', why it is a perfect event for Stena to engage in', says Ulf G. Ryder, CEO at Stena Bulk. 'Getting the confidence to organize RC44 Sweden Cup again is an honour for Marstrand and Brandspot, and evidence of our common experience we have earned together by setting up international sailing events, for instance in Marstrand', says Jan Torstenson, CEO at Brandspot, the company behind the competition. He continues: 'We look forward to this summer, it is outstanding since it attracts spectators to watch these great boats and marvellous sailing close-up.'
Marstrand is chosen for the second year in a row from this group of exclusive places. 14 teams from all over the world are expected to participate in RC44 Sweden Cup 2012.
