Optimist and 29er Championships 2012 - And the wind blows

Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron
At the 2012 Optimist and 29er Championships day 2, being hosted by the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron in Manly, Queensland, racing today was postponed.

A strong wind warning was issued by the Bureau of Meteorology on the morning of the second day of racing for the Optimists and the fourth day of racing for the 29ers.

Changes have been made to the sailing instructions for the Optimist fleets with racing now scheduled for their lay day on Wednesday.

Racing will continue tomorrow with eight to ten knots predicted.
