Out in the Whitsunday Passage it was glass and more glass earlier but now there is around five knots of breeze and the rain is tumbling down.
Race Director Denis Thompson has signalled he will be sending the fleet off on the traditional Molle Island Race course today, but its is suspected that Denman Island and West Molle (Daydream) might be turning marks for some of the classes.
More news as the day unfolds. The Cruising fleet will be first off the Dent Passage start line at 10:30am.
