Day 4 in Istanbul
Hi Today was another good day for us and in what felt more like surviving the incredibly tricky conditions than looking at the leaderboard. As it finished up we now find ourselves at the top of the table but with one full day of racing to go there is still plenty to do.
Currently we sit 4 points ahead of second and quite incredibly after 33 races there is only 13 points seperating the top 5 boats. There is no question that the difficulty associated with this type of racing leads to very mixed bags for all teams each day and it seems that the team that can string together a bunch of good results and avoid the shockers tomorrow will be a well deserved winner.
There is no protecting a small lead for us tomorrow. We have to go out and sail aggressively again with the aim of having another good consistent day.
Looking forward to another tough day on the water
Dean
