Ensign Ship Brokers debut Beneteau First 30 at Sanctuary Cove

'Beneteau First 30 will make its Australian debut at Sanctuary Cove'    Ensign Ship Brokers
Ensign Ship Brokers are bringing a beauty to this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat show, with the new release Beneteau First 30 yacht on debut in Australia.

Launched overseas at the French La Rochelle Boat Show in September 2010, the First 30 promises to be the leading vessel on the Australian market.

Ensign Managing Director Tony Ross said the First 30 is an exciting launch for Australia.

'As the only Queensland Beneteau dealers, we have great confidence in bringing such a prestigious yacht to one of the leading international boat shows,' he said.

'This is the first time a First 30 will be on display in Australia and it is guaranteed to stand out at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.'

The latest offering from industry leaders Beneteau is unlike any other boat on the stands because the First 30 delivers the best of both worlds as a cruiser sailboat with a higher emphasis on the racing aspects, yet substantially
equipped for comfortable cruising.

'The First 30 is the kind of boat you can take out during the week and race until your heart’s content but on the weekend you can throw all the lounge pillows back in and take the family out for a cruisy day on the water,' Mr Ross
said.

Collaborations with two respected names in the industry, naval architect Juan Kouyoumdjian and sailor Michel Desjoyeaux have resulted in Beneteau delivering in both style and speed.

Juan Kouyoumdjian is well-known for designing race-winning yachts, most recently for the last two Volvo Ocean Races.

His expertise has taken the First 30 to another level.

Sailor, Michel Desjoyeaux is the winner of the English single-handed transatlantic race, winner of the Route du Rhum, three times winner or the Solitaire du Figaro, and twice-winner of the Vendee Globe.

His out of the ordinary ability to dream up boats that will go on to win have made a unique, unparalleled contribution to the First 30.

General specifications include a beam of 3.2m, deep draught of 1.9m and an overall length of 9.81m.

To get the full impact of the First 30, stop by the Ensign Ship Brokers stand near the entry ramp at Marina B at this years Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
