Waiheke Boating Clubs’ annual Round The Island Race (RTIR) on Sat 19th March will this year be a fundraiser for the Christchurch Earthquake appeal.

Entry fees matched dollar for dollar by the club will go to the fund. Two additional 'round an island' races will be held. One a short course for Keelers and trailer yachts and the other for centre boarders.

The main event circumnavigates Waiheke from the Kennedy Point start/finish line and is open to Keelers - cruising, Keelers- unrestricted and multi-hulls. The shorter course to Nani Island (Palm Beach) and return is for Keelers and trailer yachts. Centre boarders will race from Oneroa to Nani Island and return.

All takings from the prize giving breakfast on Sunday at the Oneroa Bowling (and Boating) Club will also go the Earthquake Appeal.

See www.waihekeboatclub.co.nz for Notice of Race and entry form.
