Heineken Cape to Rio - Still beaming from the incredible reception yesterday , Team City of Cape Town are settling down and enjoying the delights of Rio.

Torben Grael, Brazil’s top Olympic sailor, was himself on hand to greet the crew yesterday and City of Cape Town was featured in an amazing four minute news broadcast on Brazil’s top TV station.

Today the biggest yacht in the fleet, Grand Filou 11 is expected in at approximately 18h00 local Rio time. Onboard is twenty year old Theo Yon a graduate from the Izivunguvungu program, who has been having the ride of his life.

Other handicap places are only expected in on Friday. The fleet are all battling calms at the moment, so top placing for City of Cape Town looks very secure.
