Sail-World.com : Hugo Boss sails again

Hugo Boss sails again

Saturday afternoon, Hugo Boss left the port for the first few hours of sea trials following her repairs. All went well and when Hugo Boss returned to her rightful home alongside the other Open 60’s on the Vendée pontoons - they had a fantastic welcome reception from well wishers.

Alex and a crew of seven have been sailing all day today. They will be returning to the docks around 5pm to tune the rig and for a crew change over, before they head back out at approx 7pm tonight for an overnight trip. Alex will also spend all day Monday sailing.

These sea trials form an important part of the repair process, and Alex Thomson remains positive that all will go well so he can make it to the Vendée start line.
