Georgina Bartlett, Director of Saltwater Public Relations commented, 'Considering the current financial situation, our clients went into the Southampton Show with fairly realistic expectations.

Nobody was surprised the gate was slightly lower than last year - indeed National Boat Shows are to be commended for the attendance figures which we are delighted held up so well. On the whole the business done by the majority of our clients was as good as or slightly better than expected. The next challenge is to continue that success in the difficult trading conditions of London and beyond.'

Comments from a selection of Saltwater clients that exhibited at this year's PSP Southampton Boat Show:

Discovery Yachts Limited - Mark Waterhouse, Sales Director

'We had a high number of quality enquiries about the Discovery 55, 67, and the 50ft catamaran and are confident that these will lead to sales over the coming months.'

Nordhavn Europe - Neil Russell, Director of European Sales

'It's been a fantastic show for us, having sold the Nordhavn 47 and taken an offer on the Nordhavn 40, which were both on the water as brokerage boats. We've also taken letters of intent on a new Nordhavn 76 and our flagship Nordhavn 86 during the show. In fact we've had a strong year to date and taken many orders for new boats across the range, but it's particularly satisfying to have such a great brokerage performance at Southampton this year.'

Tarquin Boat Company - Toby Chappell, Design Director

'We are very pleased with this year's Show and welcomed a number of quality visitors to view the selection of Traders on display. We also experienced a huge amount of interest in the new Trader 42 Signature flybridge, which made its world debut at Southampton.'

The Yacht Leg and Cradle Company - Paul Williams, Managing Director

'The PSP Southampton Boat Show always provides a great start to our season. It is the time of year that people start to think about taking their boats out of the water for the winter and doing maintenance work. We've had lots of interest in our transportable cradles, which fold down to fit into the boot of a car. They are very popular with boat owners who need to move the cradle off-site when not in use.'
