The premier event in world sport, the Olympic Games, is just a month away.

Starting on the 9th of August, the Olympic Sailing regatta gets underway in Qingdao, China and runs through to the 23rd August.

The Sail-World.com New Zealand website will be providing more intensive Olympic sailing coverage than ever before with a million (1,000,000) dedicated online newsletters going to its audience world-wide. This is a great opportunity for companies in the New Zealand marine industry to be associated with the biggest event in World Sport - the Olympic Games.

With the saturation coverage from TV and other media, world interest will be focused on the Olympic Games. New Zealand sailors medalled in four Olympic class World Championships in 2008, and are expected to rise to the challenges of the Olympic venue.

Sail-World will have four journalists and photographers, in Qingdao, with another four contributors reporting from the Olympic Sailing regatta. This means its coverage will be amongst the most intense by any sailing media group world-wide.

Sail-World will be publishing 20 Sail-World Qingdao Olympic newsletters, including daily newsletters during the Olympic regatta. These will be in the style of its very successful Sail-World America's Cup newsletters, which were edited by Sail-World New Zealand's Richard Gladwell and which achieved tremendous, support world-wide.

Rob Kothe, the founder of the TetraMedia group, which publishes Sail-World.com Powerboat-World.com and MarineBusinessNews.com commented today, ‘We will be covering the Asian and the Middle East, US, UK, European, , New Zealand and Australian teams in great detail, as these are the key areas of our world wide circulation – across our Sail-World sites.

Because it takes just a single click for our regular sailing readers news to stop receiving our news, our audience is one that is seriously interested in our coverage.'

Around the world more than 220 yachting organisations run our news feeds, bringing readers to our sites.

Across August, our total visitor numbers are likely to exceed 200,000 readers. They will come to us, because of the depth and breadth of our coverage and its immediacy.

Sailing is not well covered in the mainstream media and sailors do not want to read sailing magazines in September or October to find out how their sailors went the month or two before, so the Internet is the key sailing news source.

Because Sail-World is free to readers and has no printing and distribution costs, our cost per 1000 readers is a fraction of print media costs. Sail-World.com's reach per dollar is unmatched in the Sailing media.
