Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson of Britain are the 2008 European Yngling Champions. They finished second in the Medal race Saturday to clinch the title.

In a close race Sally Barkow, Carrie Howe and Debbie Capozzi of the USA won the Medal race and thus moved into second overall, third place on the podium went to the Dutch team of Renne Groeneveld, Anne Bes and Merel Witteveen.

The British trio, who will represent GBR at the Beijing Games this summer, have now completed the second leg of the three major titles, adding the European title to the World title they won in Miami.

The American crew pulled out all the stops in the final race, coming through to the lead on the final downwind leg to pip the British boat at the line, this moved them to second from fourth overall, just one point off the title.
