Late start for Day 3 of RYA Youth Nationals

After a long wait on the beach in drizzle and no wind, racing finally got underway in the early afternoon on the third day of the RYA Youth National Championships Trials at Pwllheli Sailing Club.

Stuart Godwin leads the Laser event but faces close competition from Rob Spencer, Oliver Tweddell and Alex Mills-Barton, only four points covering the leaders.

In the 29er, James Peters and Ed Fitzgerald have a one point lead from Francis Peters and Claire Lasko, with Bleddyn Mon and Tom Humpherys in third place.

Oscar McVeigh leads the Radial event, with James Grant in second and Freddie Conner third. First girl is Sophie McKeeman at ninth overall, with Sarah Butterfield at 13th.

420 leaders are Ben Saxton and David de Boltz taking a five point lead after winning two races and dropping a fourth place. Second are Owain Matthews and Tim Saxton with Phil Sparks and Ben Gratton third.

Eight point lead for Jacob Brubert in the RSX boards over Ali Masters in second and Dan Skudder third. First girl is Izzy hamilton in fifth place overall.

The small SL16 catamaran fleet is lead by Adam Butler and Gilbert Sutcliffe, they have won four of the six races so far.
