Images from the Laser World Championships 2008 in Terrigal, Australia, where the weather has been uncharacteristically stormy, but the competitors have reveled in the big waves.
Going into the final stages, defending World champion Tom Slingsby will have to stay cool after snatching the lead back from Julio Alsogaray of Argentina with two wins. However the Central Coast resident, did concede: “Julio still hasn’t had a bad race, so I need to get a bigger gap on him tomorrow if I’m going to win. I have to forget about my bad day yesterday and do tomorrow what I did today.”
