After the final day of the Flying 15 Australian Nationals, at the Geraldton Yacht Club in Western Australia, Grant Alderton and Dean McAullay are the new Champions.

Alderton and McAullay won by 12 points from Keith Swinton with Graeme Lillingston in third place.

Fourth place went to the first of the two Brits competing, Ian Cleaver from Loch Earn SC, with James Flower finishing seventh overall.

For the final race the wind was blowing about 10 knots, but the direction was a bit fickle, causing a postponemnt while a change went through. on the start another change meant sailing the second reach became too close for a kite.

The windward mark was re-located and there was a bit of a beat but the right side of the course was the only way to go. Grant and Dean took the gun again, thus taking out the series. Adam Semple won the Silver division and Tom Thuijs won the Classics.
