Mike Leigh of Canada leads Tom Slingsby of Australia for the Australian Laser Title. Second place in the final race of the qualifiers, with Slingsby in third, was sufficient for Leigh to lead into the final stages.

Nick Thompson (GBR) won the final race of the qualifiers but was unable to prevent Rutgar van Schaardenburg (NED) from taking the third place overall by one point. Now there are four Gold Medal races to decide the final series

Nick Thompson finished the qualifiers in fourth place.

In the Laser Radial event Sarah Blanck of Australia led the Women's title, despite not competing in the final qualifier race. Second was Veronika Fencova (CZE) and third was Jo Aleh (NZL).

The Laser 4.7 leader is Rohan Langford of Australia.
