Sail-World.com : Marine news on the Internet continues to expand
Marine news on the Internet continues to expand
|
Sail-World.com started in 2000, when the internet was a dial up hobby and when magazines reported on August's Hamilton Island Race week in October, now we follow sailing on 22 inch screens, with high speed broadband discovering news 24 x 7. Sail-World.com now has editors in Miami, Auckland, Hong Kong, Madrid, Portsmouth, Sydney and the luckiest one, who was in Columbia last week and is in Panama today. Now we are expanding our marine news network, with the highly regarded Bob Wonders announced as the founding editor of Powerboat-World.com. Bob, who lives on the Gold Coast, has his finger firmly on the pulse, having completed more than 2,000 powerboat reviews. Powerboat-world will follow the highly successful model; we’ve developed with Sail-World. Our first newsletter does not hit the airwaves until next week, but we can already see a great reaction, with boating events not used to being asked for more pictures please. Some of the print magazines are still saying the Internet will never work, OK so it works for Sailing, but not for Power, but the online powerboat classifieds have showed the way already and we are getting tremendous industry support and a rapidly increasing news flow. Have a look at www.Powerboat-world.com Enough of Power, we have plenty of sailing news, today is the start of the Club Marine Boat Show in Melbourne, make sure you get there if you can, we have show news from Sydney Yachts, Dufour and Boat Books today and some of our Sail-World team will be there through the weekend. The Melbourne to Osaka fleet will be in Melbourne too, they start on Sunday and Sail-World will provide detailed coverage. We have news on Chocolate Bilbies, the Gladstone race and more We will be on the start line for the Audi Sydney Southport race tomorrow. South Cross Yachting is looking for sailing instructors. Send there story to your sailing friends O/S Boaters have already voted with their mouses so if you know of a company who is not advertising with us, do them a favour and suggest they ring Liam Daly at Nautical Media Partners 0405 497 423
