Sail-World.com : A truck load of Sunscreen
A truck load of Sunscreen
|
We all remember Bullimore’s boat upside down in January 1997 and an amazing Navy rescue. Where is Tony Bullimore now? Funny you should ask. He left Qatar for Hobart, from where he’s aiming to chase Dame Ellen’s record. BUT before he gets there, problems. Silence for a week, no sat phone, no HF, no EPIRB... We hope we will seem in Fremantle on the weekend. Will keep you posted. Three supermaxis for 2006 Rolex Sydney Hobart and two Volvo 70’s... fast up front. Sail-World however will be covering the value end of the fleet in detail, that’s where sailors get five or six full days of sailing south, not just a skimpy little 40 hours and to help us do that we will be using our new Voice and SMS reporting system. The Velux leader is half way to Fremantle. Sail-World Asia reports on the new McConaghy built Team China boat. A truck load of 30+ sunscreen. The whole Sail-World Team moves to Fremantle tomorrow, then to Malaysia for the Monsoon Cup, then to thailand for the Kings Cup. We will be providing full coverage of the Savills Regatta, the two Rolex Trophy events and more. Then there is Rolex Sydney Hobart, Melbourne to Hobart and Launceston, Skandia Geelong Week. At the small boat end, we have to Tornado Worlds coming up the Sail Sydney, Sail Melbourne and the associated Worlds and a host of Nationals and then Sail-World will be in Adelaide for the 505 Worlds and then the F18 Worlds in Yeppoon....as I said at the top ...that's a truck load of sunscreen... for a lot of sailors.
