The Sail-World Team spent the weekend on Port Phillip as the Melbourne offshore racing fleet escaped. Racing is tight across this fleet. We will have regular reports from this race and then the run back from Port Vila to Mackay. 3000 miles in all. We will be posting twice daily skeds and news and interviews so stay with us.
Sydney photographer Andrea Francolini commented dockside at Blarigowrie Yacht Squadron yesterday, ‘There is something seriously wrong when the temperature outside is the same as your fridge. He continued ‘This must have been the first time of my life I wished I worked in a warm and comfortable office.’

Today on Sail-World Brett Philby reports on Margaret Willam’s Round Australia voyage. She is already the first woman to circumnavigate Oz solo, now she’s continuing round the top to Fremantle aiming for the non stop record.
The Kiwi’s are cock a hoop as it appears Emirates NZL could have a serious chance of beating the Swiss. We have detailed reports from Valencia.
So what does the Italian born Socceroo's fan pictured have to do with this editorial. Absolutely nothing, but it warmed Francolini's heart.
