Editorial - Australian Cruising on-line

Last year Sail-World launched its Cruising site. The site has been so successful that Sail-World.com is now splitting the site into a World Cruising site and an Australian Cruising site.

Now to the news. The BMW Sydney Winter series is a Sydney sailing institution. Sail-World reports with images and stories.

Australian Laser sailor Tom Slingsby wins at Hyères. Sail-World reports on Australia’s results at the first, Grade One Olympic class regatta, this European summer.

We heard on Saturday that Chris Packer is in a coma in Perth hospital, will keep you posted.

Yachting photographer Richard Bennett wins another award. Movistar wins Baltimore In-Port Race, don’t event ask where Brunel came. Now true madness, as Simon Chalk the multi-ocean rower is aiming to go the wrong way round the world on a Trimaran.

The Royal Yacht Club of Victoria’s decade-long domination of the Association Cup has ended. Lots more news at www.sail-world.com, we only include a fraction in each newsletter.

More on Cruising Australia .... ‘Sail-World has large news gathering ability with six editors around the world, so finding international news and feature content is no problem. The launch of our Cruising Australia site allows us to publish more Australian content and local news,’ explains cruising Editor Nancy Knudsen.

‘Some of the Cruising Divisions of major Clubs have vast archives of wonderful pictures and stories, previously unseen by a wider audience. With the Australian site launch we can now bring to our readers these interesting pictures and stories at www.sail-world.com/cruisingaustralia '
