Sail-World is in a cold and wet Palma, Mallorca, ahead of the ISAF Sailing World Cup Mallorca, which starts tomorrow and runs until next Saturday.
This is the start of the European Olympic class regatta season. Ahead is Hyères in France, then a host of European championships, then the Australian's will head to Rio for the Test Event thence to Santander, Spain on the Bay of Biscay for the 2014 ISAF World Championships, the first Rio Olympic qualifying event.
This is the kind of regatta that the Asia Pacific can only dream about, almost 900 teams, 1200 Olympic class sailors from 60 countries - Aussie teams must sail the European circuit to be exposed to the very best competition.
Sail-World has so far talked to Australia's 470 Men, with Mat Belcher and Will Ryan red hot favourites on the Road to Rio and the Crawford Brothers who are following the path trodden by both Mat and Will as training partners.
We've talked top our Finn sailors too, today we've published our interview with Finn World number one Oli Tweddell and coach John Bertrand, the other one.
