It is the only European sports team, the only boat in the world officially allowed to sail under the European flag, and under the patronage of the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, supported by the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz.

2013 Coutts Quarter Ton Cup - Day one -  Fiona Brown ©

On the opening day of the 2013 Coutts Quarter Ton Cup, there were more glamorous classes, modern classes, undoubtedly more expensive classes, but you would have to go a long way to find a class that offers more spectacularly close racing and bang for your buck than the Quarter Ton Class. The pace was fast and furious and four different boats claimed a race victory.

Lots more news inside… and yes we do have a little on the America´s Cup with Artemis having successfully been stress tested today.
