Lots of crash and burn 18 footer action on Sydney Harbour, so all is normal. Really looking forward to the 2012 Ronstan A-Class Catamaran World Championship in Florida. As rumoured Nathan Outteridge has joined the field. (tho' not the practice race - with appendage blow ups) The current World Champion Steve Brewin will start as favourite but Jack Benson, Scott Anderson and more will be keen to see lots more Aussie success. The Kiwi’s Coastal Classic this year was a blast, just look at the video. Team Vodafone Sailing’s new record will be hard to beat. Australia’s Paul Larsen is getting reading for another Sail-Rocket 2 World Speed Record campaign. We talked to well known racing sailor Jamie McPhail this week. A significant industry figure over the last two decades, he is heading up Pantaenius Australia, the latest arm of a truly global marine insurance player. With Pantaenius having a range of insurance products that really target the racing and cruising sailor, the local marine insurance scene is plainly headed for a shake-up. We will publish an extended interview with McPhail in the next few days.
