Suellen Hurling was on hand to capture some images from the start of the Royal Akarana Yacht Club's Nexus Gold Cup on Saturday.
Racing got underway in strong winds with gusts of between 50-60kts reported in the fleet and winds averaging well above 40kts for sustained periods.
