The final event on the circuit, the very successful sixth annual SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week wrapped up last night. The last two days of racing were probably the best that was seen across the Airlie, Hamilton and Magnetic Race Weeks. Read about this event and put it on your calendar for 2013. It has enormous growth potential with a wide range of accommodation options. Once you’ve done this regatta you will wish you’d not been missing this event in years gone by. Now it’s time to head south. It still true that nothing it seems goes to windward like Boeing The next big event on the regatta circuit is the Heaven Can Wait Regatta on Lake Macquarie. The Heaven Can Wait One Lap Dash, 12 hour race and 24 hour race start off the Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto at 11am on Saturday 28th With the Swansea channel now dredged out to an amazing three metres the number of keelboats coming up from Sydney for this great event should increase. Just 27 degrees again. More when we make it south on and put a jacket back on. Ahead of us is a great Australian summer, with the Middle Harbour Short Ocean series, the Sydney Hobart, Pittwater Coffs, Festival of Sailing and a host of State and Australian dinghy titles and then we are looking forward to the Sydney Harbour regatta. We will have an exclusive report on the 2013 Hempel Gosford to Lord Howe Race over the weekend. Good sailing
