A little under 10 years ago, I first started seeing some sensationally cool sailing gear that was adorned with this fantastic Z. It certainly reminded me of Zorro slashing his moniker into all and sundry and apart from looking cool, the gear seemed to be very much fit for purpose.

After two great races in sparkling Garbi seabreeze conditions off Barcelona it is Niklas Zennström’s Rán team which leads the Trofeo de Vela Conde de Godo, but only on countback from the Audi Azzurra Sailing Team.
After five races not only do the top two boats share the same 9pts aggregate, but the new Azzurra and the boat which finished the 2011 season on a high.

The 2012 Atlantic Cup presented by 11th Hour Racing, the first carbon-neutral sailing event in the United States, has announced additional crew members with a wealth of sailing experience that will be joining the premier U.S. sailing event for its final leg - inshore series racing in Narragansett Bay in Newport, R.I. this Saturday and Sunday (May 26 – 27).

Today, the group behind the Hydroptère.ch announced three new projects, one of them being a challenge to the Little America’s Cup to take place in Falmouth, UK during the summer of 2013. US America's Cup Defender, Oracle Racing, have moved their wingsail from the construction facility in Core Builders Composites at Warkworth to the Port of Auckland ready for shipping to USA.
