The Zhik Mission Beach Regatta celebrated thirty years this October in perfect conditions. As usual, a wide variety of craft attended the regatta with the fastest mono and multihulls completing that traditional around Dunk Island race.
Weather over the weekend was fantastic with the tropical climate turning it on for the visitors. The first race on Saturday morning saw a breeze of around 12kts with this picking up a couple of knots for the start of the second race at 1:30 and then dropping back towards the end of the race. Sunday saw another bright sunny day with a 10kts breeze building to 13kts by the time the second race of the day was sailed.
