|
In the Volvo Ocean Race, with four days to go to the resumption of competitive action this weekend in Lorient, all six teams are preparing for the Bretagne In-Port Race on Saturday and the start of final offshore leg to Galway the following day. Camper with Emirates Team New Zealand were the first to return to the fray, with Chris Nicholson’s crew leaving the dock on Monday for an afternoon training session on the waters off Lorient. Overall race leaders Groupama sailing team also took to the water for an inshore technique practice session -- an exercise they plan to repeat every day this week. The crew of Puma Ocean Racing powered by Berg have now assembled in Lorient and Ken Read’s team plan to be in full training mode by Wednesday. Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing’s sailing team will regroup in Lorient today and plan to start their training programme as early as this afternoon. Team Sanya and Team Telefónica´s shore crews are yet to tick off all of their job lists but both plan practice sessions over the next few days. Volvo Ocean Race website
