Auckland team in Alicante

Alicante VillageAuckland Stopover Port Director Tom Mayo and Grant Calder, the Head of Commercial & Marketing for the Stopover, have made the long trip to Alicante, Spain, for final meetings with the Volvo Ocean Race HQ staff, the organisers of the

Alicante Race Village, the six teams' shore crews and other key Stopover Port personnel.

"It's the last planning and conference opportunity for all the Stopover Ports before the Race starts and we're getting answers to a lot of questions," says Mayo.
