Vendee Globe - Peu avant 14 heures, ce dimanche, le skipper de Cheminées Poujoulat a rallumé ses instruments de communication pour contacter la terre afin de faire un rapide point sur sa situation.

Navigant actuellement dans 35 à 40 nœuds de vent, le Suisse va devoir désormais passer la très grande majorité de son temps avec sa centrale coupée, la batterie principale du monocoque ne disposant plus que de 5% de son potentiel de charge. Il ne la rallumera que de manière épisodique pour donner et prendre des nouvelles à terre. Il a précisé se préparer à puiser dans ses réserves de sécurité pour ce qui est de l'eau. Il confirme également se diriger vers le Cap Horn.

S'il est difficile pour le navigateur d'estimer ses futures polaires de vitesse, les derniers routages donnent un passage au Cap Horn le 9 janvier, le vent s'annonçant mollissant pour cette journée et celle de demain.


A ce stade, si la solution d'un ravitaillement en gasoil dans un port n'est pas écartée, l'équipe de Bernard étudie celle d'un bateau à portée de trajectoire lui fournissant du Vendee Globe website

America's Cup Defender christened "Taihoro"
