Partis de Brest lundi en fin d'après-midi, Bernard Stamm et Philippe Legros ont bouclé aujourd'hui la longue séance d'entraînement en double qui les a mené jusqu'au cap Finisterre. Au total, près de 700 milles nautiques réalisés dans 15 à 30 nœuds de vent, au portant puis au près, qui leur ont permis d'utiliser le 60 pieds Cheminées Poujoulat à 100% de son potentiel, mais aussi et surtout de trouver des automatismes en duo.

'Durant ces trois jours, nous avons pu utiliser le bateau complètement et prendre nos marques en tandem. La météo a été parfaite même si elle nous a obligés à changer notre parcours initial. Une grosse bulle sans vent en mer d'Irlande nous a, en effet, décidé à plutôt aller vers le sud qu'en direction du phare du Fastnet. En tous les cas, c'était vraiment une très belle séquence d'entraînement. Philippe et moi avons rapidement trouvé des automatismes et des modes de fonctionnements efficaces en double pour les manœuvres. En clair, ce que nous avons fait, nous l'avons bien fait,' a détaillé le skipper Suisse, cet après-midi, précisant par ailleurs que lundi prochain, lui et son équipe devraient procéder au grutage du monocoque afin notamment de vérifier la quille avant d'attaquer de nouvelles sorties en mer dès mercredi.
