Team Tunnicliffe reports:

We received great news today, starting off the new year with a bang. Anna was awarded US Sailing's 2010 Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year Award!

It was a huge surprise. All of the nominees had great results, and I knew it would be tough. So to be awarded it again is such an honor. I am very happy and excited.

Although the award is given to me, it has, once again, been a team effort. I send out an enormous thank you to everyone who has played a part in this past year's sailing. Firstly, I couldn't have done any of it without my crew, Molly, Debbie and Liz.

The girls were fantastic all year long, and I owe so much to them. I would like to thank our coach, Dave Dellenbaugh, for helping us get to where we are, and who continues to help us in preparation for our upcoming US team trials.

Also, all of our other coaches who were an integral part of our sailing last year. And for making our sailing possible, I would especially like to thank our sponsors Carmeuse and Trinity Yachts for their continued support. In addition, thank you to US Sailing Team Alphagrapics and its sponsors for their support; and Rolex for continuing to support sailing. Thanks to my family for continuing to believe in me; Mum and Dad for all of their hard work behind the scenes. And, of course, Bradley for always being there for me.

We received the news when we got in off the water from our training clinic today. We have just wrapped up a three-day camp, with all of the teams who will be competing in the USSTAG Qualifier 1, this upcoming weekend. It has been a great week of practice in lighter winds.

We have one more, free practice day, tomorrow, during which the wind is supposed to be in the upper teens, so we will get the other end of the wind spectrum. This is an important event for us because the results serve as rankings to determine who will get priority at the first three ISAF World Cup events. I will post a link for the results after the first day of racing. We are feeling good with how this week has gone and are looking forward to putting it all into practice on the race course.

Once again, I would like to thank you and everyone else for following us and supporting us. I have said it before and I know I will say it again, 'Your belief in us is what keeps us going!
Thank you very much!'
