Sandringham sailor Terry Herbert and wife Lee sailed their Bavaria 44 cruiser True Colours to victory in the Cruising Non-spinnaker division in the 24th annual Audi Hamilton island Race Week.

Herbert's Victorian crew gathered four wins a second and a third (their drop) in the fourteen boat division. They won from Bryan Hudson's Catalyst with Mike Walters Mim third. In fourth place was the winner of the Audi A4 Avant at the 2006 Hamilton Island regatta Townsville sailor Dave Short with his Hunter 335 Legend Pro Beat Passion.

This is the Herbert's third Bavaria cruiser, they upgraded from a 40, two years ago. They sailed True Colours from Sandringham in June and July and have now sailed to Mackay, which will become their crusing holiday base for the next month or so, until the trade winds change and they can sail south again.
