43rd Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia Mapfre - On the penultimate day of women's match racing a fresh 15-18 knots of sea breeze challenged the sailors.

Anna Tunnicliffe (USA) was the first to punch her ticket for the Finals when she dispatched of Olivia Price (AUS) 3-0 in the Semi Finals.

The other Semi Final was fought to a 'winner take all' fifth match. Tamara Echegoyen (ESP) received a penalty in the pre-start but lead all the way around the course. She tried to lure Claire Leroy (FRA) into an offsetting penalty at the finish, but Leroy escaped with a green flag and crossed the line first to advance to the Finals.

Tomorrow will see Echegoyen and Price sail for the Bronze medal while Leroy and Tunnicliffe sail for the Gold.

Semi Finals:
SF1 - Leroy (FRA) defeats Echegoyen (ESP) 3 - 2
SF2 - Tunnicliffe (USA) defeats Price (AUS) 3 - 0

5-6:
Skudina (RUS) defeats Macgregor (GBR) 1 - 0

7-8:
Mulder (NED) defeats Barkow (USA) 1 - 0

5-8 Sail Offs:

The Bay of Palma presented a perfect day with sun, wind and waves. In the Women Match Racing Finals, Anna Tunnicliffe (USA) took an early 2 – 0 lead over Claire Leroy (FRA).

Trofeo SAR Princess Sofia Mapfre - After an action packed final day the overall Standings have been shuffled around Trofeo SAR Princess Sofia Mapfre, the third of seven ISAF Sailing World Cup Regattas, concluded today in Palma. After an action packed final day of racing the overall Standings have been shuffled around with new leaders taking control. The first gold of the day was decided in the 49er fleet. It went to Jonas Warrer and Soren Hansen (DEN)

Trofeo Princesa Sofia Mapfre second day provided great racing with all scheduled races completed by mid afternoon. Trofeo Princesa Sofia Mapfre second day provided great racing with all scheduled races completed by mid afternoon. The southerly breeze started at seven knots to build to ten towards the middle of the afternoon, but remaining patchy, the wind made racing tricky.

Jonas Høgh Christensen (DEN) leads the Finn fleet at the Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia Mapfre regatta in Palma Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia Mapfre regatta day 1 was an eventful day on and off the water which started quietly with very light winds forcing the postponement of the start of racing, but after a few coffees the fleet set out several hours later and two races were started in a south-south-westerly light gradient breeze at six to ten knots.
