Twenty boats making the journey from Panama to the South Pacific are reporting by HF Radio to the 2007 Southern Cross Cruiser Net twice daily.


The yachts in the Southern Cross Net are Barbaran, Bauvier, Blacvkwattle, Chatti Clarabella, Creola, Dartagnon, Emelia, Encanto, Gannet, Hotice, Mary Constance, Maria III, Meitli, Phoenix, Silver Girl, Toboggan, Utopie, Wakalele and Wanderlust.

Her her latest voice report by Iridium satellite phone Sail-World's Cruising Editor, some 1000 miles west of the Galapagos tracking towards the Marquesas, explains how this practical and social network was born.
