Tempo Spars brings affordable carbon fibre masts to Australia

by Roland Schmidmaier on 12 Apr 2013
Roland Schmidmaier
Tempo Spars has been supplying top quality products and services for the yachting industry in Australia and overseas for more than 35 years, specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of aluminum yacht masts and rigging for all yachts.

Our partnership with Pauger means we are now able to bring the advantages of Carbon masts to all sailors because they are now a very cost effective option.

Pauger carbon fibre mast’s proven technology provides weight and wind reduction and substantially reduces weight aloft. The use of carbon fibre for the manufacture of masts offers four major advantages over aluminium: weight, aerodynamics, stiffness and flexibility. Carbon fibre masts are on average 60% lighter than alloy and 60% stronger. With clever designing they can also reduce your rigging thereby reducing windage and drag.

‘The RC44 Class are proud to be associated with Pauger. Pauger’s world class products have been proven round the globe in extreme offshore conditions and inshore at one design regattas. The quality is outstanding, that is why they have produced all the RC44s. It is great news for sailors in Australia that Pauger will be available through Tempo Spars’ said Bertrand Favre RC44 Class Manager.

We look forward to an ongoing partnership with Tempo Spars who have an exceptional reputation within the industry for high quality craftsmanship' said Dénes Paulovits, Managing Director of Pauger.

Customers will be able to visit the Tempo Spars stand at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the Sydney International Boat Show. Customers will be able discuss the range of products that Tempo Spars has to offer and see the quality of the Pauger Carbon Fibre mast on display.
