Goldfinger is racing up the Derwent, scrambling to get to the finish line ahead of its own record of two days, 59 minutes and 26 seconds. Skippers Kate Mitchell and Peter Blake made their compulsory report from the Iron Pot at 1138hrs, 12.2 nautical miles from the finish line at Battery point. Their estimated time of arrival is 1250hrs, ahead of the record. In the Westcoaster, Extasea is under spinnaker as it traverses past Maatsuyker Island, closely followed by Tevake II who is making ten knots in the strong westerly breezes.
