Sunsail will again be exhibiting at Sydney International Boat Show, in Hall 2, stand 206-208. The 36 year old company, founded in the UK, will be promoting its Sunsail Yacht Charter holidays in the Whitsundays and all over the world, as well as its learn to sail programs.
According to Sales Manager, Melanie Ashton the company is gearing up for its busiest time of year. 'We have Sydney next week, then the busy time with all the southern states coming to Queensland for some sun. It’s whale season at the moment, the weather is ideal, then we have Hamilton Island Race Week and September school holidays – it’s all happening!'
From their base on Hamilton Island in The Whitsundays, Sunsail handles the sales and marketing for the Asia Pacific. But there are 30 bases around the world and each works closely with the others to raise the brand’s profile.
Back in March, when Cyclone Ului ripped through the Airlie Beach, Proserpine and the islands with winds of 200kmh causing roofs blown from houses, boats washed ashore and trees uprooted, Sunsail emerged unscathed and has not seen a ripple in trading.
'All our boats were packed away and safe,' says Melanie, adding that Sunsail suffered no damage and no losses. 'Business has been constant.'
