Another beautiful morning on Magnetic Island for Day 2 of the 2009 Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week, for the sixth day of spring, the forecast maximum temperature is 30 degrees centigrade.

The Grand Prix IRC, Performance Racing and Sports Boat fleets will be racing windward leewards on Cleveland Bay.

The Cruising divisions, 1, 2 and non-spinnaker, will be sailing the 15.1 nautical mile White Rock race.

Yesterday Regatta Director Denis Thompson held the fleet ashore until the first signs of the seabreeze developed and today he is doing the same thing.

The Postponement (AP) flag went up at 9am and its likely racing will start at 11:30am or 12 noon.
