After being appointed as an authorised Quintrex dealer just six years ago, Streaker Boats has skyrocketed to the top of the dealer ladder to be named as the Australian Dealer of the Year for 2010 / 2011.

The announcement was made at the annual Quintrex dealer conference on the Gold Coast, where Quintrex MD Paul Phelan announced to the massed gathering that Streaker Boats in Melbourne was the best in Australia for 2010 / 2011.

Quintrex aluminium boats is Australia’s largest selling boat brand.

'This is a huge accolade,' said Streaker Co-Director Leon Savage.

'Over the relatively short time that we have been a Quintrex dealer, we have fully embraced the Quintrex brand and have had no hesitation in promoting it strongly to our customer base.'

The Quintrex Australian Dealer of the Year award is based on a myriad of criteria ranging from sales performance, customer service to dealership presentation to name just a few. In doing so Quintrex recognises that Streaker, while a volume dealer, is primarily customer focussed and carries a large range of Quintrex boats ready for inspection and quick delivery. The award recognises all the small yet important things that go to make the brand a success.

'We understand that customers want to inspect Quintrex boats on the showroom floor, prior to purchasing,' Leon Savage said. 'It sounds pretty basic, but at Streaker we understand this and carry a bigger range than most. Our undercover showroom means that customers can take their time, in comfort, to look over the Quintrex range.'

'And when it comes time to deliver a new Quintrex boat to our customer, we are happy to do this at the boat ramp and show the customer the finer points of operating their boat.'

According to Jason Boal, Quintrex’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Streaker Boats is a standout dealer with their premises, professionalism and commitment to the Quintrex brand.

'From Quintrex’s perspective we have acknowledged the outstanding growth and achievements recorded by Quintrex since their appointment late in 2005,' Jason said.

'Streaker Boats is a very impressive business which has consistently presented the Quintrex product to the highest standard. The Streaker premises are first rate and the team at Streaker have demonstrated outstanding customer service.'

'What rates particularly high with us is how our customers are treated when they buy a boat, take delivery, use their boat and then return for service. In all regards Streaker is simply outstanding.'

Jason also noted that Streaker was an accomplished and strategic marketer. 'The company is very astute with a great web site. They are consistently embracing new marketing initiatives such as Facebook, SMS messaging and the like.'

Streaker Boats is a leading Melbourne marine retailer, being authorised dealers for Quintrex, Streaker, Lewis Ski Boats and Yamaha outboards. The company is one of the few Yamaha dealers in Australia that has been awarded the status of Platinum dealer.
