Iain Murray’s Azzura Marine continues its dedication to construction of the Marten Yachts range of sailing yachts with the recent launch of its sixth Marten 49 last week. Sales Manager for Marten Yachts Jason Rowed commented, 'It’s fantastic to see another Marten 49 come out of the Azzura Marine facility in Nowra. The guys are certainly producing a world class yacht.’ 'This latest Marten 49 has a striking appearance; she has Navy Blue topsides with a teak laid deck with the innovative flush mounted carbon fibre deck hatches. She is very easy on the eye with stylish lines.'
Rowed went on to comment 'this Marten 49 is destined for the UK as her home base. Once in the UK the owners plan to compete in the World Famous Fastnet Race.' Since Azzura Marine acquired Marten Yachts in late 2005 and moved production to Australia in 2006, business has been on a steady increase. Marten Yachts recently showcased their range at the Hamburg, London and Düsseldorf Boat shows which has proved invaluable for the business. Interest has also increased in relation to the larger Marten Yachts which include the 67, 72 and the 85. Marten 49’s can now be found in Germany, United Kingdom, France, New Zealand, and Australia. Hull seven is close to completion and construction is about to begin on hull eight, reinforcing Azzura Marine’s commitment in continuing to successfully expand the renowned Marten Yachts range within Australian.
