Riviera's new SUV makes her First US Appearance at Fort Lauderdale

by Stephen Milne on 30 Aug 2012
The first model in Riviera's new model series, the 445 SUV will make her US debut at Fort Lauderdale Stephen Milne
Riviera’s much-anticipated new 445 SUV will make her first US appearance at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.

The latest creation from Australia’s largest and most awarded luxury boat builder is a culmination of more than 32 years of boat building design, experience and extensive owner feedback from around the world.

The 2012 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will mark the official US release of the stunning new 63 Enclosed Flybridge. This exceptional new shaft drive model has ticked all the right boxes for the discerning new boat owner and has already sold three boats since this model’s announcement earlier this year.

The 53rd annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is the largest in-water boat show in the world encompassing three million square feet of space on land and in water over six sites and attracting visitors from around the world.

Riviera’s impressive line-up this year includes the new 445 SUV, new 63 Enclosed Flybridge, 43 Open Flybridge, 53 Enclosed Flybridge, the new generation 5000 Sport Yacht, and the 4400 Series II Sport Yacht.

Riviera’s International sales director Chris McCafferty said Riviera’s latest models had been very well received in the US and prospective owners were eagerly awaiting the arrival of these new models.

'We have experienced strong interest in the new 63 Enclosed Flybridge since it was formally announced at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show earlier this year,' he said.

'The new SUV Collection has been a well kept secret by Riviera and this has created an increased level of interest in this exciting new model, which is a true crossover between Riviera’s three popular model series.

'I anticipate the new 445 SUV will appeal to the astute American buyer because it combines the high performance, blue water cruising abilities of the classic Flybridge with the fish raising abilities of the Offshore Express, and features the popular single-level entertaining characters of Riviera’s Sport Yacht series.

'Bearing Riviera’s classic hallmark design, the 445 SUV is a vessel like no other and has been crafted in respect to Riviera’s rich heritage.

'I am also excited about the world release of the new 63 Enclosed Flybridge.

'The huge cockpit, large mezzanine, aft galley and luxuriously appointed ‘sky lounge’ enclosed flybridge featuring plush leather lounges, full wet bar and optional electric sunroof makes the new 63 the perfect long-range cruising vessel and judging by the feedback from the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show this year, it seems many new boat owners agree that this new model is an exciting addition to the Riviera flybridge range.'

Riviera’s director of brand and communication Stephen Milne said people had long recognised Riviera’s strong build quality and hallmark design over a 32 year evolution where almost 5000 boats have been launched.

'There is tremendous confidence in the Riviera brand and given the often harsh and savage Australian boating environment, Riviera has developed a solid reputation for building dependable, strong, high quality, ocean-going vessels without compromising on any aspect of luxury,' he said.

'We are excited about our new SUV Collection which was unveiled at the recent Sydney International Boat Show. The first model in this Collection, the new 445 SUV, has been well-received by Riviera enthusiasts with two sales confirmed during the show.

'In the US Riviera is extremely well known for our range of Flybridges and Sport Yachts and the new 63 and 445 SUV will certainly impress.'

The Riviera display will be located at C Dock, slips 327, 329 and 331, as well as a Belize Motoryacht display with details of the new 52 Sedan and Daybridge models.

Riviera offers 15 different models from 36 to 75 feet across four model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express and the new SUV collection.

Riviera also offers the bespoke Motor Yacht line, Belize Motoryachts. Inspired by classic luxury details and timeless style, Belize Motoryachts has just released the new 52 foot Sedan and Daybridge models.
