Kiwi duo Molly Meech and Alex Maloney set sail for Rio in the 49erFX - the Womens skiff event will have its first Olympics in August 2016.
The two New Zealanders were involved in the testing of the 49erFX before it was selected as an Olympic class and won the inaugural world championship in 2013.
Coming off the back of a silver medal earlier in June in the Weymouth World Sailing regatta in England, Molly Meech and Alex Maloney have set their sights on their next big event - the Rio Olympics which gets underway in early August.
In this video, the 49er FX sailors duo talk about what motivates them, their love of sailing and the long term preparation they have been doing ahead of the Games this year. They also show us their amazing on water sailing ability, when they take their 49er FX out on the Auckland harbour for training.
