Ricoh Australia sponsors CYCA's Youth Academy Elliott 6

Ricoh Australia, one of the leading providers of document and imaging solutions to Australian businesses, has committed to the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s Youth Sailing Academy through a sponsorship of one of the Elliott 6 yachts.

'The CYCA has a prominent and long-standing history within the Australian yachting community and Ricoh is proud to have joined the team as a sponsor of the CYCA Youth Sailing Academy,' said Ricoh Australia's Managing Director, Les Richardson.

CYCA Commodore Howard Piggott thanked Ricoh Australia for their support of youth sailing. 'The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia prides itself on the services and facilities offered through our Youth Sailing Academy. Elliott sponsorship is vital to the ongoing maintenance of the training fleet and provides support for the many programs and regattas that the CYCA's Youth Sailing Academy conducts,' Commodore Piggott said.



'A new fleet of Elliott 7.0m boats will be launched in August this year to coincide with the 20 year anniversary of the foundation of the Youth Sailing Academy,' he Cruising Yacht Club of Australia

J70 World Championship – Day 2
Three races were held on Berkeley Circle for the 68 international teams competing in the races on Wednesday. The conditions were once again, true San Francisco. The fog was lurking if not covering the race course, the wind had bite, and blew 14-18 knots. There was a big left shift in the last race that caught more than one local off guard.

In the second race, conditions ranged from 18-25 knots with choppy seas which left more than one competitor on his side After three days of “non San Francisco” conditions over the wekend-85 degrees with sailors waiting around for wind while complaining of it being to hot in the parking lot-“San Francisco” came back.
