Competitors at the Volvo Noble Marine RS 800/700 UK Nationals have raised over £2,380 for the Sail4Cancer charity by raffling an RS800 mainsail and auctioning a RS700 mainsail, donated by Hyde Sails. Championship tee shirts branded with the charity and the principle sponsors logo’s were also sold in aid of the charity.

The RS800 mainsail went to Roger Plail after his successful bid of £650 for Angela Bromage’s (local club member) winning raffle ticket which, was auctioned off. Of the money which Angela received as a result of auctioning off her winning ticket she donated £100 to the charity. James Bayliss secured the winning bid for the RS700 mainsail. The total money raised included £750 as part of Barclays scheme to match any monies raised for raffle up to the value of £750.

Thank you to Hyde Sails, Barclays, RS700 and RS800 committees plus all RS friends and family who were involved in this fantastic activity.
