Qingdao Saturday - Racing completed

Finn Medal race adandoned after second mark with Ainslie in Gold position - medal races postponed to Sunday - Racing has started for other events in the sailing at Qingdao Saturday. In the two Medal races to decide the winners of the Finn and Yngling events, the race for the Finn class started after four postponements while the course was reset due to wind direction changes, but eventually abadoned.

Racing for the RS:X events have been rescheduled.
In the 470 Mens event three races have been completed today, Stuart Mcnay and Graham Biehl of the USA won the first. Britain's Nick Rogers and Joe Glanfield were called OCS. Series leaders Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page finished 16. In the second race of the day the British pair recovered to finish second. Winners were Carl Evans and Peter Burling of New Zealand. Finally in the third race they finished second and thus fourth overall in the event to go into the Medal race with a medal chance. The Australian pair cannot be beaten for the Gold.
In the Women's 470, Christina Bassadone and Saskia Clark finished 15 in the first race, race nine of their series. Ai Kondo and Naoko Kamata of Japan won that race. In the final race of the day the British pair finished fifth and are ninth overall. Lenka Smidova and Lenka Mrzilkova (CZE) won the final race, Elise Rechichi and Tessa Parkinson of Australia who had a 3 and 2 today continue to lead overall.
Andre Fonseca and Rodrigo Duarte of Brazil won the first 49er race with series leaders Jonas Warrer and Martin Kirketerp Ibsen of Denmark second. Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes finished eighth. In the second race Iker Martinez and Xabier Fernandez of Spain won and Morrison and Rhodes were 11. And in race 12, the final fleet race of the 49er event, Morrison and Rhodes finished 15 and ninth overall.
In the Laser Radial Penny Clark finished third in race three to be sixth overall. Gintare Volungeviciute (LTU) won that race. Paul Goodison is fourth overall after a ninth in his first race.
In the Star class, Xavier Rohart and Pascal Rambeau of France won the first race, Britain's Iain Percy and Andy Simpson were 13 but in the second race Percy and Simpson finished third behind Marc Pickel and Ingo Borkowski of Germany. The British pair are eighth overall, with John Dane and Austin Sperry of the USA leading.
In the Tornado Leigh McMillan and Will Howden had an 8 and 13 and are tenth overall with three races completed. Fernando Echavarri and Anton Paz Blanco of Spain lead with 1, 6, 1 ahead of Darren Bundock and Glenn Ashby of Australia.
