'Tomorrow is Race 2 of the B&G Simrad Two Handed Triple Series the B&G Simrad 60
We have 154 entries. We could have had a few more but unfortunately SSANZ had to turn away 4 boat who wished to enter after the published close of entries.
Race 1 was a huge success with our biggest number of finishers ever! 163 boats crossing the finish line sure kept the Race Committee busy. The usual suspects Taeping and Wired were the first of the longhaul boats to finish but the new canting keel 30 footers 'Karma Police' and 'Overload' were impressive in beating many much larger boats.
So what’s happening tomorrow…
First the forecast is looking like typical SSANZ Two handed weather… A good Test !
Tomorrow: Northwest rising to 20 knots gusting 30 knots late morning, then changing southwest 15 knots in the evening. Slight sea becoming moderate late morning until evening. A few light showers with fair visibility in heavier showers during the evening
So it looks like the fleet will get a good breeze and finish relatively early. 30 knots will sort out the better crews from the rest !
