Philipp Buhl kämpft sich auf den Bronzerang

Am vierten Tag des ISAF Sailing World Cup vor Palma de Mallorca (31. März bis 05. April 2014) starteten die Rennen zum ersten Mal fast pünktlich. Außer den 470ern konnten alle Klassen ihre Rennen durchbringen. Am Besten lief es für Lasersegler Philipp Buhl, der aktuell Dritter ist.

Die Seglerinnen und Segler des Audi Sailing Team Germany mussten heute mit den Naturgewalten kämpfen. Bis zu 25 Knoten Wind forderten von den Sportlern alles ab.

Optimal lief es für Philipp Buhl im Laser, der sich mit drei Top-Ergebnissen auf den dritten Gesamtrang vorschob und am Samstag vielleicht nach einer Medaille greifen kann. Dicht dran an dem Podest ist auch Surfer Toni Wilhelm, der nach dem gestrigen 'Ruhetag' heute auf den vierten Rang surfte. Mit einer weiteren Leistungssteigerung machten Tina Lutz und Susann Beucke im 49erFX wieder einen Sprung nach vorne und sind vor den letzten Finalrennen Fünfte.

Morgen entscheidet sich in den Wettfahrten, wer in den Medal-Races am Samstag der besten Zehn antreten wird. Aktuell wären neun Mitglieder der Nationalmannschaft dabei.
