Palm Beach Regatta Sydney 38 Results
by Al Constable on 21 Mar 2005
Another big field for the first major event since 2005 Skandia Geelong Week for the Sydney 38 One Division.
In challenging conditions it was a strong result for Justin Lambeth and his London Tavern team. Certainly they did their boat name proud last night. One costly spinnaker drop handling error robbed Shining Sea of the regatta in the first race.
Tony Walls Acuity continues to circulate with distinction and deserved their podium placing. An excellent first up result for Tom Quick and the Outlaws and an excellent first outing for Guido Belgiorno-Nettis on Cydon.
Chris Way’s Easy Tiger started well on Saturday, but their third race 16th de-railed their regatta. Martin and Lisa Hill’s Estate Master team were expected to do better in this regatta, but the last race win put smiles back on faces.
Three winners from four races, another great Sydney 38 regatta.
